Find and organize application data
ProPath helps Clarion applications decide where files and databases belong. It uses modern Windows Known Folders and can choose file paths from the Registry or external control files. At first launch, users can confirm or select the intended data location, including a network location.
Deploy and switch datasets
FirstDeploy places supplied files and training data in Windows UAC-safe locations at runtime. ProPath can maintain and switch between several SQLite or Firebird datasets, including live, demo and archive sets; its Firebird support also addresses embedded and client/server connection choices. These are dataset and location-management features, not replacement database drivers.
ProPath 5 also integrates with the CapeSoft File Driver Kit for supported setups, including SQLite2. Check publisher documentation for the current scope of each integration.
