A pocket resource for Clarion developers.

Keep Clarion Desktop Handy

Clarion Desktop is a website, not a native phone app. Put a shortcut on your Home Screen to reach the resource directory, community links and archives with one tap.

iPhone and iPad (Safari)

  1. Open ClarionDesktop.com in Safari.
  2. Tap Share (the box with the upward arrow). On some versions of Safari, open the page menu first.
  3. Choose Add to Home Screen. If it isn't visible, scroll through the available actions.
  4. Keep or edit the name Clarion Desktop, then tap Add.

The Clarion Desktop icon should appear on your Home Screen. If Safari offers an Open as Web App option, you can choose it; the site still needs an internet connection.

Android (Chrome)

  1. Open ClarionDesktop.com in Chrome.
  2. Tap the three-dot menu in Chrome.
  3. Choose Add to Home screen, Install app, or the equivalent option shown by your version of Chrome.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to add the shortcut.

The wording varies by Android and Chrome version. In every case, this opens the Clarion Desktop website rather than installing a native Android app.

Desktop and laptop computers

You can bookmark Clarion Desktop in your browser, pin the bookmark to its toolbar, or create a desktop shortcut if your browser provides that option.

Tip: Save the main Clarion Desktop homepage so you always have search and navigation close at hand. An internet connection is required; no offline archive is installed on your device.
